Hi, I’m Cassandra.
I am a doctoral student in Counseling Psychology at Texas Woman’s University, and a practicum fellow supervised by Megha Pulianda, LPC-S, PhD.
I help people process trauma, find healing through life transitions, and build stronger relationships.
My approach to therapy begins with understanding those experiences and the meaning they hold for each individual. I am particularly interested in understanding how our lived experiences influence the ways we see ourselves, connect with others, and navigate the world around us.
I approach therapy through a multicultural, feminist, and trauma-informed lens. Rather than viewing challenges in isolation, I value understanding how personal experiences, relationships, culture, and larger systems influence well-being. At the same time, I believe every individual brings strengths, resilience, and insight that can serve as important foundations for growth.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from The University of Texas at El Paso. Through my experiences in research, teaching, and previous casework working with students and families, I have developed a deep appreciation for understanding people within the broader contexts of their lives and recognizing the unique experiences that shape who they are. Outside of my academic and clinical work, I enjoy unwinding with a good show, spending time with loved ones, and cuddling with my two fur babies.
I ultimately believe growth begins with understanding. My goal is to create a supportive and collaborative space where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences, deepening self-awareness, and moving toward a life that feels authentic and meaningful to them.
The Bottom Line:
I don't believe people exist in a vacuum. Our experiences are shaped by our relationships, identities, cultures, communities, and the systems around us.
